From Sky Garden to Hogwarts

After ending the last post talking about food, we ended up deciding to try an Indian Restaurant across the street, which was very delicious and we see why it was highly recommended to us by the hotel desk. Continuing the theme of food, we started today out with breakfast with a view at Sky Garden. The views were amazing and the food was good as well with us sharing a full English breakfast.

We then walked over to St Paul’s Cathedral for another self guided audio tour. I feel like I’m already sounding like a broken record trying to come up with different ways of saying these places look grand and ornate. When you’re following Google Maps directions while walking, and you come around the corner to one of these majestic buildings, it is very astonishing.

After St Paul’s Cathedral we headed back to the hotel for a short break before heading out to our final stop of the day, the Harry Potter Studio Tour. I found the tour very cool, seeing various sets, costumes, props, and some background information on how they filmed the movies was interesting. I took so many photos while there, that going through them to pick out ones to post was very difficult. These were some of my favorites though:

Walking through the studio took us about three hours + a 1 hour bus ride each way definetly took up a good chunk of the day, but was very cool to see. Now we’re back at the hotel where I finally had a chance to trouble shoot why the app would not open on my phone all day to be able to post. Not sure what happened, but a quick reinstall and everything seems to be working again.

Tomorrow is our last full day here in London where we plan to see a few more famous landmarks before we take a train to Edinburgh on Monday!
