London Journey
Days 1 - 4: London Exploration
Our first stop on our UK journey is London, where we plan on spending the first four days visiting various landmarks and highlights of the city.
DAY 5
To Edinburgh & City
Depart London by train in the morning to arrive in Edinburgh to begin our exploration
Days 5-7
Historic Edinburgh Exploration
Our Scottish adventure begins when our train arrives in Waverly Station in the center of Edinburgh. We will explore highlights in the city including Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile before adventuring a bit further out to Arthur's Seat and Craigmillar Castle
Edinburgh Castle
A historic fortress perched atop Castle Rock, dominating the city skyline and serving as a symbol of Scotland’s heritage. It houses the Crown Jewels, the Stone of Destiny, and offers sweeping views over Edinburgh.
Royal Mile
A historic street stretching through the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town, connecting Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Lined with medieval buildings, shops, and landmarks, it offers a lively glimpse into the city’s rich history and culture.
Arthur's Seat
An ancient extinct volcano rising above the city, offering one of the best panoramic views of Edinburgh and its surrounding coastline. Located in Holyrood Park, it’s a popular hike that combines natural beauty with a sense of history and legend.
Days 8–9: Isle of Skye Road Trip
After several amazing days in Edinburgh, we'll shift gears and pick up a rental car to start our journey toward the rugged Highlands while learning how to drive on the left side of the road. The drive to the Isle of Skye winds through the iconic valleys of Glencoe and past the photographic Eilean Donan Castle.
Once we arrive in our base in Portree, we plan on starting our exploration of the island. Some highlights include the towering cliffs of the Quiraing to the enchanting waters of the Fairy Pools.
Final Miles
Days 10: Return Journey
The final phase begins as we drive from Skye to Edinburgh to catch the south-bound train. Ending the day in London marks our final night in the UK
Day 11: Flight Home
Our trip concludes with our afternoon flight back home, bringing an end to this spectacular eleven day journey.
